Lions are more than 1.3 million strong. You will find us in more than 190 countries. Since our beginning in 1917, we have been unified in a single cause: helping those less fortunate. While we emphasize helping blind people, we are also tackling other tough problems like drug abuse, diabetes awareness and funding training programs for the deaf, disabled and the elderly.
The McMurray Lions Club is a service-oriented organization composed of men and women from the McMurray & Venetia area who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes locally and worldwide by conducting service projects and raising funds. Our current membership numbers 13. We are an integral part of the community. We were chartered in September 1947 and have enjoyed a continuous period of service to Lionism and the community since that time. Since it’s founding the Club has stood by the Lions motto “We Serve” and with the help of the community we will continue to serve.
How To Become A Member
Membership in the McMurray Lions Club is by invitation and is available to any person of legal age, good moral character and who has a desire to serve our community. Tell a Lions Club member that you are interested in membership and want to attend a meeting or service project to learn more.
