Urology camp was organised by our club in association with "forum for senior citizens of India" & RG Stone Urology Centre, Porvorim. 120 people took benefit of the camp.

ROAD SAFETY WEEK 09-01-2011
Road Safety Week was observed by LC Marcela on Sun 9th Jan 2011 in Cordination with Directorate of Transports, Govt. Of Goa. Present for the event were Asst. Director of transports Mr. Gurudas Narvekar, Technical Director Kundil Group Mr. M. S. N Prasad, Press Reporter Premanand Shirodkar, President Lion Gajanan Parab, Secretary Lion Mahesh Mahajan, Treasurer Siddhaarth Bandodkar & other Lion members of the club. Mr. Narvekar spoke on Road Safety rules & regulations & guided the people to abide by them. Lion Mahajan & Gajanan also spoke on Road Safety week & also stressed that the safety is not to be observed only for the week but also throughout the year. Posters, Pamphlets, Booklets of Road Safety were distributed to the people as well as to the drivers present for the event.
CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME 31-12-2010
Manojkumar Youth Association & Lions Club of Marcela in Cordination with Nehru Yuva Kendra organised a 3 day capacity building programme at Govt. High School, Honda, Sattari, Goa. The programme was based on youth capacity building and develop the young youth leaders personality & stage fears

Independence Day Celebrations

64th Independence Day was celebrated at Govt Primary School, Marcela. Flag hoisting was done and was followed by various programmes performed by the students related to independence day. Prize distribution for the drawing competition held on 10th Aug 2010 were distributed at the hands of the Lions Club President Gajanan Parab, Lion Manoj Ghadi, Lion Girish Nair , Lion Ashok Dutta, Lion Mahesh Mahajan, Lion Laxman Narvekar, Lion Nonu Naik & the head mistress of the school. Sweets were also distributed among the students. School PTA president Nonu Naik welcomed the guests & spoke on the occassion. Lion Laxman Narvekar proposed the vote of thanks.
VANAMAHOTSAVA CELEBRATION
@ ST. THERESA HIGH SCHOOL
Celebrated Vanmahostava in St Tereza school at St. Esteva, Marcela on 10th July 2010. The programme was clubbed with the installation of Jr. Redcross society of the school. Club President Lion Gajanan Parab was Chief Guest & Club Secretary Lion Mahesh Mahajan as Guest of honor. The programme was attended by huge crowd and many lion members and was given wide publicity in local news paper. Lion Mahesh Mahajan gave the oath to the newly constituted Board of Jr. red Cross society. In his speech he highlighted the importance of plantation and after care of the plants for protection of the environment. Please find below the snaps clicked at the function.
