June 26, 2019, Guest speaker Larry Wayland spoke about the Friends of Arkansas Information Reading Service (FAIRS), the programs and news AIRS carries, and how to access the service. AIRS is a Division of Services for the Blind service; DSB also pays for Newsline from NFB. He also told about a golf tournament the Bryant Lions Club is hosting October 14, at Long Hills Golf Club to benefit WSB, Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing, the AR Lions Eye Bank and Laboratory, and Leader Dog. They’re seeking sponsors and golfers. Lunch will be catered by Whole Hog Café; prizes will be given. Contact Bryant Lions President Richard Fleming at 501-580-3432 for more information.
