FROM OHIO TO CALIFORNIA
An amazing thing happened in early June! While on a family vacation, Lion Jodi Nichols and her son, Lion Andrew Nichols, were able to personally deliver a check from the Licking Valley Lions Club in Hanover, Ohio, to the California Lions Foundation, in response to the devastating fires they have experienced. They met MD 4-L3 PDG Carol Ann Wright Emmett from the Santa Monica - Pacific Palisales Lions Club for Lunch in Hollywood. Lion Andrew was able to do for the first time what Lions do best: Serve, Give, and Help Others! He was just inducted as a Lion one month prior to their luncheon meeting and was eager to meet a Lion outside of Ohio. He presented Lion Carol Ann a check from the Licking Valley Lions Club to support the victims of the devastating California fires. This will go straight to their recovery and rebuilding fund.
What an amazing opportunity to serve others and demonstrate the connectedness of Lionism. We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve others and to work together through such a wonderful service organization!!!
