Lions Recycle for Sight!
Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. Our motto is 'WE SERVE'. We are a group of 1.3 million service-minded men and women in 207 countries worldwide working together to help our local---and national--- communities. The Association of Lions Clubs was founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones, a Chicago business leader, who encouraged other business leaders nationwide to address the needs of their communities. By 1920, Lions was an international organization, and in 1925 Helen Keller addressed the Lions Clubs International Convention, challenging Lions to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness." Since then, we have worked tirelessly to aid the blind and visually impaired.
