DISTRICT 12N FOOD PACKAGING - JANUARY IS HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH

OUR MOTTO IS "WE SERVE"

On December 6, 2022 – District 12N hosted a food packing event at The Hangar (Pathways Church) in Sevierville with 90+ volunteers packing over 30,000 meals of macaroni/cheese, pasta/tomato sauce and vegetable soup into family-sized pouches. The boxes of food were taken back to various communities throughout District 12N and distributed to those in need.

1 in 9 people are chronically hungry

Chances of food insecurity ~ 10% higher for women

At least 50% of children under age 5 have hidden hunger and 25% are stunted due to lack of nutritious food

2 billion people lack regular access to nutritious and sufficient food
