Horncastle Lions Bonfire -  05.11.2013

This important event in Horncastle Lions' calender came round yet again, This year a bigger bonfire, more fireworks and a larger crowd..

The Annual  Lions Community Bonfire and Firework Display  takes place every year on  November 5th and is a major fund raiser for the Club.  All the money raised  go to Lions charities, much of it will very quickly be returned to the Horncastle community supporting local projects.

The fireworks organised by Lion Graham Martin and his team were grand. The “Bonfire food” in the form of hot dogs or burgers and hot drinks went down a bomb.

The BIG QUESTION what did we make. The actual "take" was down on the previous year reflecting an increase of costs including new lighting. Sufficient to say we netted around £3000 of which almost immediatly £2000 was on its way to support the victims of the Phillipines Cyclone Disaster - Easy come, easy go!
