Goddard Mitten Tree is once again working with the community to provide food and gifts during the upcoming holidays for those in need within the Goddard School District. Last year the Goddard Mitten Tree program helped 189 families and 391 children with food and gifts. This was made possible by the generosity of people like you.
We welcome anyone interested to be a part of the experience of helping others during this special time of the year. We are already hard at work on this year’s program and are always grateful for additional helping hands. If you would like to help please contact Lion Dan Funke at 316-650-0737 or djfunke@cox.net. We need your support to make this a successful program. Here are some important dates to consider as you plan your calendars.

Other ways to help
- Hold food drives. We were very short of funds and food last year. Any extra food will be donated to The Goddard Church Food Pantry.
- Pick a mitten off the tree at Walmart, Goddard Public Library, or Pizza Hut, and return it by December 15.
- Hold a sock, underwear, hat, or glove drive before December 15 and deliver them to a Mitten Tree drop off.
- Hold a wrapping paper and tape drive at a sporting, business or other events. Lions will even help you if you desire.
