GARDEN CITY LIONS CLUB
The Garden City Lions Club,chartered in 1956,is part of Michigan's Lions District 11-A-1, comprising of Wayne and Monroe Counties. From its begining the club has been a leader in the state,both for its support of Lions projects, and for leadership of Lionism.
FUND RAISERS & SERVICE PROJECTS
The Club raises funds through our Annual White Cane Donations, a Christmas Candy Cane Sale, and other activities and community donations.
We are proud supporter of the Lions Clubs International Foundation which provides funds for worldwide humanitarian projects.
We also support statewide and regional agencies. Lions State Projects supported include: Leader Dogs for the Blind, Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Project Kidsight and Eversight.
Lions District projects supported include: Beaumont Hospital Silent Children Fund, Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Kids Coalition Against Hunger.
Local community projects we supported include: "Our HOME Pantry", Garden City High School Scholarships, and the Garden City Police and Fire Departments.
The Club can also provide persons in need with assistance with their eye exams, glasses or hearing aids and we collect used eye glasses for recycling.
