More generous community support to announce today thanks to a wonderful donation of $29,000 from the Gander Lions Club. This donation has helped our Ophthalmology Clinic receive a new Autorefractor-Keratometre for vison care services at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre. This machine, which is used on a daily basis, measures the refractive error in a patient’s eyes. It is also used to evaluate the shape of the cornea to determine astigmatism levels. The Gander Lions Club have been tremendous supporters of our local hospital and have contributed greatly towards health care in our region. Since 2006 they have donated over $185,000 towards our Foundation. We thank them for their continued commitment to the community and surrounding area.
