Let Us Roar for a Moment!

Our various fundraising efforts are dedicated to sight and hearing; to diabetes education ( because diabetes often leads to vision loss) and to measles eradication (because measles can lead to hearing loss.)

100% of the money raised from the public goes to support needs within the communities we serve. Our books are audited yearly to make certain this is true.

**We hold two regular meetings a month, as well as a Board of Directors meeting once a month. At these meetings we hear speakers on a wide variety of topics, including diabetic eye care, White Cane Users Safety Day, The Mayhew Foundation,  Fidelco Seeing Eye Dogs, etc.

**Members bring canned or dry goods to each meeting for the Twin Rivers Food Pantry. We also provide monetary gifts at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Two of our members serve on the Board of Directors.

**We support the Twin Rivers Intergenerational Program (TRIP)  with a monetary donation.

**We have a loose-change wishing-well at the  Pizza Chef in Franklin.  This money is donated to the Sight and Hearing Foundation.

**We collect pop-tabs from aluminum cans. These are also sent to the Sight and Hearing Foundation, which recycles them for cash. That money is used to pay for the transportation of burn victims to the Shriners Burn Hospital.

**We provide eyeglasses and hearing aids to people in our community who are unable to afford them.  We were honored as being in the top 10 clubs to provide eye screenings to the area school children.

We make a donation to support the Mayhew Program.

**We are sponsoring the creation of a Leos Club.

**We sponsor the International Peace Poster program

**We participate in Franklin's "Community Day." We hope to branch out to community celebrations in Hill, Tilton, Northfield and Sanbornton this year.

**We partner with the  "After School Program* at the Recreation Center.

We regularly attend "Choose Franklin" meetings.

**We send more than 650 Christmas cards to the local nursing and Veterans' homes.

**This year we will  award a Citizen of the Year citation.

**We collect used plastic shopping bags  for the Twin Rivers Food Pantry.

**We support the Franklin Police Canine Officers.

**We support various community efforts by buying ads in their programs.

" We expect to expand our support to the area schools and communities through the yearly Renaissance Faire  proceeds".
