          Walking School Bus

The Walking School Bus program offers students a safe and fun way to get to school on time for breakfast. Volunteers walk with students from their home to school every Tuesday and Thursday morning. ‘Buses’ depart at 7:00am and arrive at Leopold by 7:25am. The Walking School Bus program requires adult volunteers to lead the bus. Volunteers are welcome to participate once, or as many times as they'd like. Our routes begin at:

1. Greenway Cross and Coho Street

2. Portarligton Lane and Leopold Way

3. McDivitt Road and Todd Drive

Lunch Buddies

The Lunch Buddy Program gives students the chance to develop a positive relationship with a supportive and caring adult. Lunch buddies are assigned a student whom they meet with once a week during lunch for the school year. Volunteers eat lunch and spend recess time with their student, which can include indoor or outdoor activities. We are currently seeking more volunteers to participate as lunch buddies.

Open Schoolhouse

Open Schoolhouse is held every Tuesday from 6-8pm. During this time, we open the school for family-fun activities and programming related to student achievement and community well-being. Several spaces are available for family use at Open Schoolhouse, including the school library, gym, and computer lab. To ensure the utmost safety of our kids, we are recruiting more volunteers for childcare support as well as supervision in the gym.
