The East Hanover Lions Club serves the township community in Dauphin and Lebanon counties as well as state, national & international causes. Our motto is:
"WE SERVE"
$1000 Jonas J. Walmer Service Scholarships will be awarded to a student from Northern Lebanon High School and Lower Dauphin High School.
East Hanover Lions November Business meeting will be at Shells Church on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:30 PM.
District 14-T calendars are available from any member. Each day a prize is awarded according to the Daily number. It starts in July so prizes are awarded daily. Please help support!

White Cane Campaign - October 2022
Lion Kerm Katzman led a campaign at three locations (The Filling Station and Skyline Diner) to raise donations for the White Cane Fund. Lions Josie Moyer and Nancy Gamber assisted. Money raised will be used for club projects with eye related concerns.

October 8,2022 - 50's Dance
Dance was held at East Hanover Community Bldg. Proceeds will be used to purchase clothing for children in need at East Hanover Elem (Dauphin and Lebanon Co) Food was available for purchase also. It was a fun evening of dancing with DJ Tony Bennett

Becky Richards, East Hanover Parks and Recreation Director, East Hanover Township, presented information of upcoming events and construction at the Park.
August 24, 2022 - Dinner Meeting at Kauffman's
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Kauffman's Chicken Restaurant in Bethel. They are famous for their BarBQ chicken.
July 27-30, 2022 - provided Bingo at the Grantville Carnival
4 nights of Bingo were done. All proceeds were given to the Grantville Fire Co.
July 12, 2022 - Business Meeting
Meeting was held at the Grantville carnival grounds. Induction of officers for 2021-22 were held.
We assisted the Grantville Vol. Fire Co carnival July 27-30, 2022. We assist with the Basket Raffle, Bingo and Wheelhouse games. Some members work all four nights! It is a fun time of helping to raise funds for the fire company!
June 29, 2022 - Picnic
We held a picnic at the East Hanover Community Bldg with delicious picnic foods.
We honored two fifth graders for their outstanding achievements and service.

Lion Nancy Gamber presented them a certificate, a monetary award, and a Hershey Chocolate Bar.
We also recognized our Jonas J. Walmer scholarship winners for 2022. Rachel Swank and Emma Dickinson and their families attended the picnic. They shared their college plans.

Lions Don Espenshade and Nancy Gamber presented the Jonas J Walmer Scholarship to Emily Dickinson at Lower Dauphin HS awards program. Emily will be attending Susquehanna University in the Fall.

Lions Lisa Lugovich and Linda Spatz presented a Jonas J Walmer Scholarship to Rachel Swank at Northern Lebanon's HS awards program. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who resides in East Hanover Twp and has demonstrated service to her community.
May 18, 2022 - Charter Night
Charter Night was held at Heisey's Diner in Lebanon. Everyone enjoyed a family style dinner and a variety of music by Dave Heilman singing and playing his harmonica and guitar. President Eileen Longreen shared East Hanover Lions accomplishments over the past years. It was a fun evening.
April 12, 2022 - Business Meeting
The Business meeting was held at Shells Church. We held our raffle drawing and monies were distributed to the winners. Thanks to everyone who supported this fundraiser.
April 26, 2022 - Dinner Meeting
The Dinner Meeting was held at Perkins Restaurant. Lion Nancy Gamber presented the trimester award to Hadley Barr, East Hanover Elementary School (Lebanon County) 5th grader student for her outstanding leadership and service.
PDG Jan Adams, from the Paxtang Lions Club, gave a PA Lions Beacon Lodge presentation at our dinner meeting. She provided a lot of details of all the activities and programs that re held at the Lodge and encouraged members to come visit the PA Lions Beacon Lodge. The Lodge holds camps for children and adults with special needs and has added a camp for veterans too. It was a wonderful presentation.
May 9, 2022 - Business Meeting
The Business Meeting was held at Shells Church. Discussions were held on our Seaman's Ball field and other activities.
Several billboards are sponsored by District 14-T and can be seen in our District to promote for new Lion members. This one is located on Allentown Blvd near Aroogas.

The East Hanover Lions hosted the Central PA Callers Association square dance at the East Hanover Township building on March 20. Food was available for purchase. It was a fun time for everyone.

We wrapped presents for the children in need from East Hanover Elementary Schools in Dauphin and Lebanon counties and Penn National Race Track. We used the proceeds from the 50's dance to purchase the clothing. It is a great feeling when we can help children in our community!

We attended a Christmas Show at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA. It was an excellent show of singing and dancing. It truly helped get you in the holiday spirit! After the show we had a delicious meal at the Lyndon Diner in Lancaster.
November 23, 2021 - Dinner Meeting
District Governor Peg Hummel and 1st Vice President Dennis Alleman attended our dinner meeting at Perkins Restaurant. District Governor Peg Hummel gave a presentation on our goals and accomplishments for the upcoming year. She inducted Judy Parker into our club as a new member.
President Eileen Longreen and Past President Josie Moyer presented District Governor Peg Hummel with a Hershey Bar and a donation to her District 14-T projects.

Discussion on how to purchase and distribute the clothing for children in need. Upcoming American Music Christmas Show on Dec. 4. Autumn Leaves Christmas luncheon. Dinner meeting will be at Perkins Restaurant on Tuesday, November 23 with District Governor attending.

East Hanover Lions participated in the Grantville Fire Co parade. Gummy fruit snacks were given to children along the parade route.
October 12, 2021 - Business Meeting
Discussion on successful 50s dance. Volunteer options are still available at Hershey Park. Lion Katzman shared the success of the White Cane project at 3 area restaurants. Lions will walk in the Grantville Fire Co Halloween parade on Oct. 21 and distribute treats. Dinner meetings will start this month at Perkins Restaurant.
50's Dance was held on Saturday, Oct. 9 at East Hanover Twp building. Everyone enjoyed dancing and food. Proceeds from the dance will be used to provide clothing to children in need in the community. Thanks to everyone who attended to support this great cause.
September 14, 2021-Business Meeting
This meeting was held at Grantville Fire Co. carnival grounds. Raffle tickets were drawn and prizes awarded. 50's Dance was discussed and posters were given to distribute.
August 25, 2021-Business Meeting
This meeting was held at Kauffman's Restaurant near Bethel. We enjoyed delicious food with their specialty Bar-B-Que Chicken. A business meeting was held and 50's dance was discussed and will be held on Saturday, October 9 at East Hanover Community building. Tony Bennett will be the DJ. Food will be available for purchase. District T-calendar sales were discussed. Raffle tickets were discussed and the drawing will be on Tuesday, Sept. 14 business meeting. Sold ticket stubs and money needs to be turned in ASAP to Dixie.

Jonas J. Walmer Service Scholarship awards were presented to the following: Emily Catherine Hauck, Northern Lebanon did not have an awards ceremony this year so her Guidance Counselor presented her with the award.
Ethan Dale Peterson, Lower Dauphin High School, President Josephine Moyer and Lion Linda Spatz presented the award at Lower Dauphin High School Awards Ceremony on May 26.
We hope to have them attend a future meeting so club members can meet them.
May 11, 2021 - Business Meeting
We held the business meeting. June meeting will be a picnic at Grantville Fire Co Pavillion with members bringing food on June 22 at 6 PM. Raffle tickets were distributed to members to be sold. Nancy Gamber presented Student of the Marking Period award from East Hanover Elem. Lebanon Co. to Cadence at her home.
April 13, 2021 - Business Meeting
We held the business meeting. Scholarship winners were selected by the committee. Elections were voted on. No dinner meeting for April.
March 26, 2021 - Easter Bunny Drive Through at Grantville Vol Fire Co
Lion Nancy Gamber wore the lion costume, Lion Paul Kasper and Lion Lisa Lugovich wore bunny ears.
They handed a bag of candy to all the children who came in a car to the drive through.
March 9, 2021 - Business Meeting
East Hanover Lions will participate in the East Hanover Township Drive Through Easter Bunny event on Saturday, March 27 at the Grantville Fire House. 300 bags of candy were made after the meeting to be given to the children.

Alana's Peace poster was awarded 2nd place in District 14-T in the International Peace Poster contest.
Lion members will assist with Wreaths Across America placing of wreaths at Fort Indiantown Gap cemetery on Dec 16-18.
Coats were provided to East Hanover Elementary School (Dauphin Co). Clothing and toys were provided to children at East Hanover Elementary School (Lebanon Co.) and Penn National Track. Lions wrapped the gifts after the meeting.
November 10,2020 - Business Meeting
Megan from East Hanover Twp was selected to represent our club for the Miss Hummelstown 2020. Judging will be held November 21.
3 different locations were set up in October for collection of donations for the White Cane fund. Thanks to Kerm Katzman and members who participated.
Peace poster made by Alana was presented to the club and will be delivered to District 14-T to represent East Hanover Lions. Judging will be done on November 15 at the Cabinet meeting.

October 13, 2020 - Business Meeting
After our business meeting, Candy bags were made to distribute at the Grantville Fire Co. Trunk-Treat night on Thursday, October 14, 2020 at 6 PM. (This is due to no Grantville Halloween parade this year will have this event.)

February 1, 2020: Indoor Yard Sale. Club members searched attics and basements and donated items for two tables - proceeds to benifit club projects. We also sold food to vendors and bargain hunters.
