About Us:
Dhaka Black Shade Lions Club, club no. 122434, founded in 1st June 2014 and was officially chartered on 18th June 2014, under Lions International, District 315 B2, Bangladesh. We are the team of 35 passionate friends and family members who already know the power of putting kindness in action and actively engaged in impactful service projects that bring lasting change to communities.
Our Founder:
Lion Kazi Tariful Islam Russell, MJF- a Legendary and Record-Breaking Leader in the Lions Movement.
Lion Tariful officially began his journey of service in 1999 as a member of the Leo Club of Dhaka Shamoli sponsored by Dhaka Shamoli Lions Club, Lions Internationa, District 315 B1. For over two decades, he has been making outstanding contributions to the Lions movement at both national and international levels.
Leadership & Organizational Milestones:
🔹 Leo Leadership:
Served as District President of Leo District 315 B1 during the 2003–2004 service year.
🔹 Entry into Lions Club:
Joined the Lions Club of Dhaka Shahbag Green in 2006 and actively served in various club, district and international roles until 2013.
🔹 Club Chartering & District Transition:
In 2014, he joined Lions District 315 B2 by founding the Dhaka Black Shade Lions Club. Currently he is the Club Director and Leo Club Advisor of sponsoring Dhaka Black Shade Leo Club.

We serve locally in so many different ways. We guided by Lions International with fully developed programs, service resources, funding opportunities for Lions and Leos, and organizational support for eight global causes and a number of special initiatives. Our Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) provides grants that empower the service of our members.
