welcome to the Lions Club of Chepstow and Caldicot

Welcome to the new look website for the Lions Club of Chepstow and Caldicot

We hope you like the new look and feel. Our new homepage is your first stop for the very latest news, and activities going on in the club. We will also be updating it more regularly than we have done before, and you'll want to come back more often as we'll be adding new things every month.

December 2020: What's the latest?

Well, first things first, like most of the rest of the world we're still affected by the COVID-19 cornonavirus that we have all been battling for the last few months. Although most things are now open, the virus hasn't gone away and we all need to be careful. We had our first full face to face meeting at the beginning of the month of December. It was still very much resticted in numbers of people who could attend and was socially distanced throughout. We're still not fully able to get out and about and fundraise as we used to, and for that reason we have now launched a fully online contactless trio of ways that you can donate to us if you wanted to help with a financial donation to our Christmas Parcel Appeal for example. More details on the Donate page.

All of that said we have still been conducting Lions business over the last months during the pandemic. We've all learned how to Zoom just like many millions have also done, and we've grown with the introduction of the technology, realising the additional dimensions that ethernet can bring. We've been able to thank many of our local heroes both in the NHS and in local care homes with donations of goods to make their working day just that little bit more comfortable.

We've also grown during lockdown in our presence on Social Media. As well as this website and our Facebook Page, we now have a Twitter account which we tweet from on a regular basis, and an Instagram account where we show off some of our recent images. You're more than welcome to look us up on Social Media, Follow us, Like us, Comment, and Share.

And finally we would like to finish for now with a mention on how you can join us. If you would like to help in the community, as a volunteer, or perhaps as a member, then simply get in touch with us via Facebook. You can scan the QR code with your smartphone on the image below and it will take you right there.
