                                                                                 As every Lions Club is, Lions Club of Bombay Airport is also a two-legged organisation.

One of the legs is Social and the other is Charitable.

As Social Organisation, Eighty Six (86) Members from various field in their Profession & Executive postions contribute yearly fees to our Club and enjoy fellowship programs that ranges from picnic, musical evenings, gala dandiya rass(Indian Clutural Dance), informative as well as entertaining lectures etc. during Club Regular Meetings. You Can be a part of our family and enjoy fellowship, don’t waste time to become member of club, call up any one of us & we will be glad to send you invitation to our Regular/Service Activitiy Meeting & to become Member.

As one can not stand for long on one leg, the other leg is also very important, and that is Charitable where we undertake lot of Charitable activites & try to do our best for the Community & needy people around us:

Feed the Hunger - Distribution of pulses, grains, cooking oil etc.

Medical Camps: - Conducting various medical camps viz. Blood donation, diabetes checkup, cancer check up, T.B. Awareness and checkup etc. etc.

Sight First: Cataract checkup and operations at zero or nominal cost.

       Educational: - Distribution of notebooks and uniforms           

       Mercy Mission: Providing help by payment of hospital bills, medicines etc.

    Mini Olympics for Children under special care: For Twenty Seven years, our Club organizes, annually an event which is, indeed very dear to our Members, “MINI OLYMPIC FOR CHILDREN UNDER SPECIAL CARE” -A Sports meet for physically & mentally challenged children (referred to as Differently able- SPECIAL CHILDREN OR CHILDREN UNDER SPECIAL CARE) studying in schools of Mumbai, Gujarat. As this sports meet is conducted along the lines of the OLYMPICS, it has been named MINI OLYMPIC FOR HILDREN UNDER SPECIAL CARE http://www.e-clubhouse.org/userfiles/18140/file/122413043639MINI_OLYMPIC_pdf.pdf

These are only a few to site examples. In fact our club carries out such activities every year spending about 8 to 10 Lacs. This is possible through the generous contributions from our members as well as friends and philanthropists like you.Every penny received towards charity fund raising drive is spent for the utmost benefit of less lucky people.

Separate books are maintained for such activities one called “ Administrative Accounts” to record transactions relating to fellowship meeting. 

Other called “ Service Accounts “ for recording transactions relating to charitable activities. The club is registered under the Indian Public Trust Act as well as Income Tax Act. Any Donation made for the Charitable Activities of the Club is Exempted u/s 80 G of Indian income Tax Act.

Both the sets of Books Of Accounts are Audited every year & filed with relevent Government Authorities.

We, as Lions are giving our bit of time and energy for the service to the society, what we need are fund to support our activities. WE APPEAL to your good self to extend your maximum monetary support by advertising through Souvenir to published or banner to be displayed on the occasions of our Fund Raising Programme.
