MEN'S SHED

The Billingshurst Lions are proposing to facilitate the setting up of a local ‘Men’s Shed’.

'Men’s Sheds’ are similar to garden sheds – a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, but unlike garden sheds, in the company of like-minded people. They’re about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge and, of course a lot of laughter. To find out more about ‘Men’s Sheds’ you can look at the association’s web site - menssheds.org.uk

So please, if you are interested, either email or telephone Richard 07831 550137  richardmelcio@btinternet.com or Kevin 07944 296375 ridgeway@clara.co.uk or drop into the Lion's Book Shop in Jengers Mead.

An initiative started by Billingshurst & District Lions Club, and now supported by many Lions Clubs throughout England has helped researchers find a breakthough in the treatment of one kind of Brain Tumour.

Money raised locally has enabled this Lions Club to donate a further £900 to the project this year. Thank you!

New Lions President

In the normal course of events Billingshurst and District Lions Club would have held a garden party to celebrate the installation of our new president - Viv Diggens taking over from Joan Bobker. However this was not possible under the current safety considerations. So the 2 of them got together with appropriate social distancing and passed the baton.

We thank Joan for her tireless efforts over the past year and wish Viv all the best for his second term of office.

Community Services

We offer a variety of support to those in need. This includes three mobility scooters which are loaned out when available. Please click here to go to the "Community Services" Page.
