HISTORY

On 30 March 1953 a Representative of Lion's International from Toronto, some members of the Lion Clubs of Renfrew, Shawville and Cobden met with 18 interested men from Beachburg. The Beachburg Lions Club was Chartered 8 May 1953 by 26 members known as Charter Members.Cobden Lions Club was the sponsor of the Beachburg Lions Club. In 1981 the Club purchased the Hall from Westmeath Townpship and the Club still meets at this Hall.  The Club dedicated the War Memorial. In 1987 women were invited to join Lions International. It wasn't until December 1995 that the Club inducted the first three women. We now have 5 women as members. The Club is celebrating its 70 th. year of being a Chartered Lions Club.

MEETING PLACE

The Beachburg Lions Meet every 2nd and 4th Monday each month except July and August. The Lions Hall is located at 9 Hannah St, Beachburg. The Dinner starts at 7 p.m. and the Meeting starts approximately 7.30 p.m.The 4th.Monday is a Dinner meeting.
