Brief History of The Amherst County Lions Club
The Madison Heights Lions Club and the Amherst Lions Club merged in July of 2011 to be come the Amherst County Lions Club in order to better serve Amherst County.
Where does the money go?
The club conducts fund raisers throughout the year and raises approximately $16,000 which is invested 100% in the community and Lions organizations through the following projects or organizations:

Amherst High After Prom
Boy Scout
Amherst Back Pack Program (4 schools)
School Book Reading Program(7 schools)
Dixie Youth Baseball (2) & Softball (1)

Hunters for the Hungry
