LIONS CLUB OF ALUTHGAMA

NEW CENTURY 

The Aluthgama New Century Lions Club has been serving its community since its inception in 2018. The Lions are your friends and neighbors volunteering to help the visually impaired as well as reaching out to those Aluthgama-Bentota residents who are underprivileged or in need of our help. 

The Aluthgama New Century Club is part of District 306 A1 (Sri Lanka) which is part of Lions Clubs International (LCI), the world's largest service organization. Our club supports District, state, and sight projects and are also involved in community programs

Each year the Aluthgama New Century Lions Club provides scholarships to Underprivleged  students from School and sponsors a Leo Club of Bentota-Induruwa Heritage .     In addition to these projects, the Aluthgama New Century Club also provides eye eyeglasses   to qualified Bentota residents. This is all possible through the efforts of the volunteers who   hold fund-raisers to support such projects.  The club also collects used eyeglasses that can be recycled. Each year, approximately $10,000.00 is raised and given out in the form of donations to various lnternational charities and worthy service organizations.
