We received the Club Excellence Award for Lion year 2015- 2016. We got a patch for our banner and President Sara Fernandez received a pin.
We completed the International President’s Centennial Challenge having supported Centennial Service Challenge campaigns to impact Youth, Vision, Hunger and the Environment.

Successful Baguio mission – A Three-part Project
We partnered with the Baguio Magnolia Lions Club for the May 22 medical mission and the refurbishment (replanting) of the garden at the waiting shed.
Lion Jimmy S. Chu packed two boxes with miscellaneous supplies for the mission on March 2. We obtained several of the supplies from Afya's Luggage for Life Program.
May 22 – blood sugar, blood pressure, distribution of medicines and eyeglasses, feeding, free eye exams and special eyeglasses. Lunch and snacks were available for those in attendance and the volunteers.

June 29 – 250 kits of toothpaste, toothbrushes, face towels, soap to Quezon Elementary School (QES). All children who need dental care and whose parents sign a consent form will be seen by a dentist and she will not charge any fees.

The July 2017 meeting was followed by the installation of officers for Lion year 2016- 2017. District Governor Peter H. Pergolis did the installations.
Our February meeting coincided with Lion Bless Punzalan's birthday.
We held our December meeting then our Christmas get-together.
We attended all the district meetings and participated in several District activities. Attended the MD-20 Convention and International Convention, Fall Conference, the 2 GMT/ GLT Symposia, Lions Day with the United Nations.
We volunteered at the Peace Poster Pop-up at The Oculus on March 3
On this very cold day, we distributed Peace Posters and Peace Posters information tat the World Trade Center to cynical New Yorkers who wouldn't take a handout from anyone.

At the 1st Cabinet Meeting where we received our Legacy Project patch for 2015- 2016 and a four diamond Service Challenge patch.
Fall Conference Weekend, November 18- 20
International Director Jerome Thompson was the keynote speaker and guest of honor. He was welcomed by District Officers on Friday with a dinner at Jimmy's Grand Cafe in the Bronx. Lions Jimmy and Portia were there along with a handful of officers.
On Saturday, after a day visiting the VISIONS Center on Blindness there was another dinner with him. This time it was at Hola Espana on Broadway in the Bronx and the group was even smaller. Lions Etchie Angos and Portia were there, though.
The final day of the Conference was devoted to presentations and speeches. Also of awards and announcements of contest winners. Lion Jimmy holds Lion Joan Torres' winnning photo in special category "Mountains to Climb", Lion Etchie won a raffle prize of a stuffed Lion, and Lions Silvia and Portia with their International President's Certificates of Appreciation.

Individual Lions –
We presented Lion of the Year 2015- 2016 Immediate Past President Lion Sara Fernandez the Lions District 20-R2 Foundation Earle W. Hodges Distinguished Leadership Award. She was away during the Luncheon on July 31 and Lion Ivan Lopez received the award for her.
Lion Joan Torres won the District and State Environmental Photo Contest in the Special Category "Mountains to Climb".
Lion Etchie received an award from DG Peter Pergolis for her service as the District Lion Tamer.
Lion Jimmy received an award from DG Peter Pergolis for his service as District Photographer.
Lion Silvia received an award from DG Peter Pergolis for her service as a zone chair at the Governor's Testimonial. She also received International President Bob Corlew Certificate of Appreciation at the Fall Conference
