YV Lions Minibus; The Yeo Valley Lions minibus is well known around the local villages as it takes people on regular shopping trips and social outings. It is out and about on most days. The 16seater is used by number of organisation’s, such as Parkinson’s Society, Yatton Rugby Club, Claverham Cricket Club and Yatton Ladies Hockey Team, as well as the Local Scouts and Guides and local schools. Special Needs Playground at Kingston Seymour; The playground tucked away in Kingston Seymour that Yeo Valley Lions Club constructed and maintain. It is much used by the local families who have children with special needs and by organisations for those who have. Its facilities include specially designed playground equipment that allows a carer to accompany a child on a swing or down a slide. It also has sandpits and rocking toys and plenty of room to run around and let off steam in a secure and safe environment. A water fall and a movement sensitive water feature make a calming corner of the garden. There are picnic tables and a rain shelter and lots of bikes and tricycles have been donated by local people to add to the fun |

The Claverham Beer Festival; The Claverham Beer Festival is an annual Yeo Valley Lions event with help from the local community. It is designed not just to provide visitors with a good night out, but also to raise funds for local charities. To date well over 350 different beers and ciders have made an appearance at the Beer Festival, with over £65k to date raised for charities as diverse as Great Western Air Ambulance and Riding for the Disabled. Strawberry ‘Lion’ Walk; YV Lions Club launched in 2011 a new community initiative for people wanting to raise funds. Called ‘The Strawberry Lion 50-50’, this charity walk offers enthusiastic walkers and families a chance to take part in a sponsored walk where half the money raised by walkers going to their organisation or chosen charity and half to YV Lions Club to use for local charities and community projects. The walk gives walkers the chance to experience a breathtaking charity walk over the picturesque Strawberry Line Heritage Trail, an 8 mile traffic free route through the heart of North Somerset. and generate funds for their chosen charity |

Message In A Bottle; A system that enables people to put details of Medical Conditions and Next of Kin into a plastic container that is then put into the Fridge. It is a fact that most Fridges will survive a Fire and Emergency Services and Doctors will look for "The Message in a Bottle" to help them if needed. Wake/ Worlock Trust; In 1994 Mrs F M T Worlock, nee Wake of the Wakedean Furniture Factory, bequeathed to the YV Lions Club 3 properties divided into 6 flats with a wish that they should be used to house local elderly people. These properties are held in the Wake/Worlock Trust and after maintaining and improving the properties any surplus funds are used to enhance the quality of life for elderly residents in the area. In addition a large contribution was made to the rebuilding of the Library and the meeting room in the Library is known as the Wake/Worlock Room. Yeo Valley Lions Club Charity Golf Day First held in April 2013 the Yeo Valley Lions Club hold a charity Golf Day, at Tall Pines Golf Course. By entering a team of four (men, ladies or mixed), golfers will help raise vital funds for a chosen charity (in 2014 its the Weston Hospice). This event details can be found on this site and includes 18 holes of Golf, a two course buffet, competition prizes, and hopefully a great day. |

Giant Easter Eggs Sale; Members of Yeo Valley Lions Club have an egg-cellent time over Easter by raffling away giant chocolate eggs. From early March until Easter each year giant Easter Eggs are raffled in local pubs, clubs and shops who kindly agreed to assist us in this Fundraising venture. The draw takes place in each venue over the Easter holiday. Entry in the raffle costs £1.00 and the winner in each venue receives a giant Easter Egg.
