At Wilton’s Summerfest, our Duck Race in the river is now a Duck Drop thanks to the help from our Wilton Fire Departments and their new used ladder truck. But the wind kicked up just as they dropped.

On Main Street in the middle of the Summerfest crowd, the ducks landed. Then the Lions Club found the five winners and announced them to the crowd.

One of our Lions International Centennial Service Challenge projects was picking up trash in the area around the Horseshoe, a much used swimming and hiking spot on the Souhegan River. Deb Degan, Dot Bullard and King Lion Kermit Williams, caught in action.

Doing environmental work is a real Pick-me-up!! All these bags of trash were hauled out to the roadside for pickup by Wilton DPW.
