WICKENBURG LIONS CLUB

Our Story

Meetings are at: Annex building at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 450 Rose Ln, Wickenburg AZ
Time: 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of the month.

The Wickenburg Lions Club was chartered in 1955 which is 67 this year. As the motto of this International organization is, " We Serve" and this club has performed at a very high level of community dedication. The organization does not maintain property or lodges like many other organizations so all of their effort in obtaining money is returned 100% back to the public. The Wickenburg Club meets on the third Thursday of each month.   All meetings are evening meetings.  The club has some business and then there is usually a very interesting guest speaker. The Wickenburg Lions Club has helped the local community with many project donations. In 2002, they donated over $10,000.00 towards the new swimming pool project. In 2004, a donation of $5,000.00 was given for the new skate park project. A sound system for the hearing impaired was donated to the new Performing Arts Center, a generous donation also helped created a monument setting for our historical "Jail Tree" area. Lions Club International had its 100th Anniversary June 2017 and to celebrate clubs around the world did a project. Our Centennial Celebration project is a blue metal park bench to be placed at the Splash Park in 2018.  As you can see, not only do Lions  assist with over 100 new pair of eyeglasses and exams for the community each year but many other projects are aided by this hard working group of Lions.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
