The West Linn Lions Club raises funds through activities and events like Lion Burger sales, Sausage & Kraut Dinner, and Wine Raffles. Here are some of the projects we spend it on:
Helping Those Who Need It The Most
Each December, the Lions, with the assistance of the Elementary and Middle school staff, collect over 150 children who need shoes. These children are transported by bus from their school to a local shoe store to pick out their very own pair of shoes. Afterward, the bus takes them to a pizza parlor for lunch and then back to school.
Community Projects
The Lions lend a helping hand to the West Linn Parks Department by building and performing a repair on park structures
We provide the US Flags that go up on Hood Street every holiday. They are installed by the Boy Scout Troup #149. The West Linn Lions Club also promotes flags for Kids to the 2nd graders in the West Linn School District
Scholarships
Each year the West Linn Lions Club provides Scholarship funds for deserving West Linn graduating seniors. This year we gave three $2000.00 Scholarships to help defer educational costs.
