Lions Clubs International is a world-wide, service organization which will give you the opportunity to use your talents and best intentions at the same time as developing opportunities and friendships.
A Lion is not bound by race, colour or creed, culture, religious orientation or gender, neither does a Lion have an age limit. Lions act as Angels, humbly serving the community in need.
Lions could, in one manner or another, be your niece or your nephew, grandchild or Granny. At Weltevreden Lions Club we like to think of ourselves as a family unit and encourage our members to take care of each other and share in each others highs and lows. Each member of your family has a place in our family. We visit and socialize with each other and have a lot of fun whilst doing service projects in our community as well as at our social events.
Our oldest member, who is always willing to help and ride around, is a ripe and wise 81years of age and our youngest member is 27. We work as a team with each member bringing their own individual talents and strengths. We encourage members to develop new skills and make use of the many Training and Developmental programmes that are available, free of charge, to members of Lions Clubs.
We endeavour to turn each and every occasion into a win/win situation. We attack every new project with laughter and enthusiasm and that’s how we support each other and the needy around us.
We would be delighted to welcome you into our club as a guest and possibly as a member in the near future.
