1. Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by, Club President Lion Connie Burchett.

1. “America the Beautiful”. Led by Lion Delton.

2. Invocation and Lion’s Prayer. Led by Lion Christina.

3. Pledge of Allegiance. Led by Lion Emma.

4. Lion’s Pledge. Led by Lion Verne.

5. Activate Tail Twister Raffles were activated by Tail Twister, Lion Christina.

5c. The Waianae Veterans Day Parade, changed to Nov. 1st instead of 8th. Deadline to submit regis- tration for participation in the parade, asap, to the Rotary Club. The Club will possibly take part in the parade, only 3 Lions available. Not possible. More info to come. Lion Emma can donate truck to ride.

5. Old Business/ Committee Reports:

1. Oct 18 - Hale Mohalu. Patients: 6 + maybe 2 from Kalaupapa. Hawaiian food menu. Chair: Lion Connie is asking to raise our clubs donation from $25 to $40 for the next four months, Oct., Nov., Dec. and Jan. 2015. Motion to have the donation to Hale Mohalu increased from $25 to $40 due to upcoming holidays for food and extras was made by Lion Christina and 2nd by Lion Rita.

2. Oct 19 - Kapolei City LC Breakfast. $6.00. Ticket can be purchased from Lion Connie.

3. Oct. 22 - Waianae Public Library, Ghostbusters Theme. 4 Lions to attend: Lions Christina, Delton, Jolyn and Chair, Connie. Volunteer at the library for this evening’s event from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

5. Oct. Oct. 26 - Door of Faith Health and Wellness Fair. Chair: Lion Tracy

   1. Nov 8th, Veteran Day Parade in Wai’anae has been charged to Nov. 1st. Chairperson: Rita

   2. Nov 8th, Cabinet meeting at Sacred Hearts Academy in town.

   3. Nov. 11th - Honor Our Veterans Barbecue - $10 at Kalaeloa Barbers Point. Our club has the kuleana of cooking rice for this activity. Lion Liz will bring her big rice cooker and purchase the rice. Kumu will help to cook the rice. 12 Lions to attend. Chairperson: Kumu

   4. Nov. 15th - Patriotic Glow Run - Pointer Field, Kapolei - 1-6pm and 6-10pm. Service Activity for our club and we will be attending. At 1-6pm: 2 volunteers: Emma (2XL), Harriet (M). At 6-10pm: 6 volunteers: Lions Connie (XL), Delton (XL), Tracy (XL), Liz (2XL), Verne (2XL), Christina

(3XL). Chair: Verne (2, 1-6pm., 6, 6-10pm. Total: 8 volunteers)

7. New Business.

   1. All Club members’ dues need to be paid as soon as possible. Welcome to our newest member: Lion Rosy Baltazar

   3. Veteran Jeff ! Motion to donate $100 to support this service activity to a homeless veteran made by Lion Emma and 2nd by Lion Christina. Motion passed. Sat. 9 am. Chair: Lion Rita.

   4. NoVoteNoGrumble - every Wednesday sign waving, Kalaniana’ole Beach Park, 4:30-5;30pm

   5. Foster Kids Volunteers needed, extensive application to fill out. Jolyn to bring paperwork next meeting. Volunteers needed from our own community. Temporary shelter with foster kids is located in Ma’ili. More info later.

8. Announcements.

   1. D50 UnReserved Administrative Account Funds Transfer

      • 32 Votes to carry Rebate Program ~ Deadline September 26, 2014

      • Percentage of District - “Yes” - 63.93% ; “No” - 4.92% ; MOTION IS APPROVED!

   2. Adjournment at 9:35 p.m.

   3. Next month: Board mtg at 5:30 pm. Lion Louis to attend on Nov. 2. General mtg at 7pm.

   4. Nov. 18 will be a thanksgiving gathering. Pot Luck. This gathering is in addition to our Monthly

      General Membership meetings.
