THE GLENDALE RIDERS will return to put on a show Saturday March 24,2018 at the Virden KC Hall. Helping to raise money to support the Local Community.

‚ÄčTHE GLENDALE RIDERS is truly a talented country-rock band that deliver everything from Classic Country,Southern Rock and New Country. Entertaining all in attendance with their musicianship and outstanding vocals.




Virden Lions Club

Year at a Glance 

The Virden Lions Club is a small group of dedicated individuals raising funds to give back to the community. In the last 12 months the Virden Lions Club has raised over $4376 donating $2180 back to the community and beyond. We have assisted 4 local individuals with eye glasses, exams or Hearing Aids.The following is a list of activities and contributions the club has made in the last year. 

In March of 2017 Virden Lions donated $250 to Prairieland Ambulance and $250 to the Virden Fire Protection District. The Virden Lions Spring Fundraiser raised $2415 by hosting the Glendale Riders.

In May 2017 the Club Approved  two Applications for eyeglasses from local residents.

In September 2017 The Virden Lions helped one individual with hearing aids.

In October 2017 the Virden Lions donated $250 to Pleasant Hill Village.

In November 2017 Virden Lions collected $1005 for Candy Day with $565 sent to Lions of Illinois. They also donated $250 to the Virden Food Pantry and $250 to the Angel Tree at PSB&T. The Virden Lions helped one individual with eyeglasses.

In December 2017 The Virden Lions sold Pulled Pork cooked by Keith Coe with total profit of $1520. The Lions voted to sponsor 1 Camper to Camp Lions for $290.

In January 2018 Virden Lions donated $75 to Virden Church of the Brethren for use of their kitchen.

In February 2018 Virden Lions donated $1000 to The NorthMac Schools Foundation.
