Haiti Appeal Raises £465

On Saturday morning Urmston Lions spent two hours on Eden Square in Urmston collecting for the earthquake Relief in Haiti. People gave very generously and the Lions raised £465 in just two hours.

" Lions are committed to bringing aid to those impacted by the earthquake in Haiti. Through support from people in our community, our club and LCIF will be able to help so many more,” said Lion Patricia Jones, Past President of Urmston Lions Club.

Lions were there to spread the news about Message in a Bottle and over 100 bottles were given away. Contacts were made with a number of organisations who would like further information about the scheme.



Details of future Lions Events were given out and general background about what Urmston Lions try to do was publicised.

When the display was put away Urmston Lions members, dashed home to have a shower and get ready for their evening event in aid of Trafford Heart & Stroke Club, follow this link for details.
