Service & Fundraiser Projects, 2023-24
I-5 Maytown Rest Area Free Coffee service project, June 30-July 2, 2023: Club donated approximatedly 600 cups of coffee to travelers at the I-5 May Town rest area. The recipients donated $499.00.
White Canes Fundraiser, August 6-7: The fundraiser was held at the entrances to Fred Meyer in Tumwater. The purpose was two-fold; vision awareness and accepting donations that will help fund vision programs, such as the Olympia Union Gospel Mission vision clinic that pjrovides free eye exams and eyeglasse to low income individuals.
2023 Annual Fugi Apple Sales Fundraiser: Fresh picked and boxed Fugi apples, $45.00 for a 40 lb box, will be transported to the Thurston County Food for distribution. Deadline for ordering is October 1st. Date of delivery to be announced. Net sales proceeds benefit Camp Leo, a summer camp for diabetic youth, and other club service projects.

2023 Tumwater Lions Annual Christmas Tree Sales
November 25 thru December 9th, (dependent up stock at hand) at our usual location on the east side of the Tumwater Dollar Tree. Tumwater Lions annual Christmas tree sales has been a holiday tradition in Tumwater since 1964, and is our most important fundraiser of the year. This is our 58th consecutive year. The length of the sale will be dependent upon how long our stock lasts. The best advice is to come early.
We have proudly sold "The Most Beautiful Christmas Trees In The World" to generations of satisfied customers looking for that special holiday tree.
We will have available locally grown Noble and Fraser Firs. Tumwater Lions will continue to specialize in selling the freshest, highest quality trees at the best prices.
All proceeds will benefit local communitiy service projects.
Tumwater Lions will welcome volunteers that will include studnents from Tumwater and Black Hills High School.

2023-24 High School Scholarship Awards: Two $1,500.00 Scholarships will be awarded to a graduating senior, one each from Tumwater and Black Hills High Schools. Scholarship applications will been delivered to both schools no later than October 5th. The deadline for completion is January 31, 2024. Winners will be notified no later than April 1, 2024.
