Meetings

Our current fund raising projects are the Tulsa Mayfest in downtown Tulsa and the Linde Oktoberfest on the west bank of the Arkansas River. These projects, along with earnings from a trust fund we established several years ago, provide funds for the following :

The Club provides many eye examinations and glasses annually to those in need.

Our Club makes regular donations to the Lions Meadows of Hope Foster Home Community in Perkins, OK, the Lions Eye Bank, World Services for the Blind, NewView Oklahoma, American Diabetes Association, Lions Clubs International Foundation, Oklahoma School for the Blind, and Happy Hands, a pre-school for deaf children.

We contribute to aid tornado victims and other disaster victims as needed.

Other Club projects are:

The collection of eyeglasses from area optomitrists for recycling.

Scheduling and staffing testing on our Oklahoma Lions Mobile Health Screening Unit when scheduled in the Tulsa area.

Providing Kidsight vision screenings for primarily younger children at various day care centers and health events in the Tulsa Area.

Providing outdoor therapy bicycles through our Cycle for Life project for special needs children, wounded warriors, and wounded peace officers in Tulsa and the surrounding community.  The special conditions our project addresses are the Blind and Visually Impaired, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Mentally Challenged, Post-Traumatic Stress, and other needs.
