The Tucson Rincon Lions Club (TRLC) was Chartered in 1953 to provide service to our community and around the world as well as leadership development opportunities for its members. Annual Candy Days in October and White Cane Days in January are the two primary sources of our funds that we use 100% to provide needy individuals with eye exams, glasses, hearing aids and surgeries.

Our members participate in various service activities including the following:

  • Preparing and serving evening meals for Camp Abilities, a sport camp for blind children;
  • Pima County Adopt-A-Roadway road clean-up;
  • School Children Vision Screening;
  • Collect and donate food, clothing and school supplies for Youth On Their Own;
  • Collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids for Arizona Lions Eyeglass Recycling Terminal (ALERT);
  • Sort, clean, neutralize, inventory and package used eyeglasses for ALERT for worldwide free redistribution;
  • International Vision Missions where eye exams and glasses are provided to the poor; and
  • Collect and distribute holiday food baskets for needy families in Tucson.

Our club and its members support the service activities of many other organizations through donations to the following non-profit organizations:
