TOWN OF HOOSICK LIONS CLUB

WE SERVE

Welcome to the Town of Hoosick Lions Club website

The Town of Hoosick Lions Club was chartered in 1960.  Cambridge was our sponsoring club.  A photo of the original 26 charter members can be seen in our photo gallery.

Since then, local Lions have been actively involved in the community.  The Penny Hunt has been a Lions tradition for over 50 years.  Three generations of families have participated.  The Wood Memorial Road Race, another Lions event, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.   The local club donates to many local organizations as well.

With a heavy heart it's time to announce the inevitable. This year's 60th annual Penny Hunt and 35th annual Wood Memorial Road Race are postponed. We are planning on holding both events at some point once we are living normal lives again, after all the Easter Bunny isn't too busy in the off season so we're confident we can find a date that works. As for the road race we're going to pick up where we left off, only planning for a new date. If you haven't finished your Easter shopping yet, please consider purchasing a Lions Club chocolate bunny, as it may be our only source of funds for a while, and our community still needs us. We'll update when we have information, but for now stay safe, stay healthy, and we'll get through this together. Also meetings will be cancelled until further notice. Please check back here and or on our Facebook page for further updates
