SURREY BORDER LIONS

ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF EVENT

The Surrey Border Lions Club Annual sponsored 9 Hole Golf Competition will not take place this year.

EGGSTRAVAGANSA

Eggstravaganza is your chance to win a huge Easter Egg complete with a fluffy lion for just £1! During the Easter period local hostelries very kindly sell spaces on a “Name Card” for Surrey Border Lions Club, the proceeds are donated to the District appeal for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance

Since 2007 Farnham Lions have organised the Eggstravaganza to raise money for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance and Surrey Border Lions along with many other Lions Clubs in the District are participating in the 2012 appeal to raise £250,000 over the next 10 years to help support night flying equipment for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.

Night flying equipment will bring emergency medical care and vital transport to hospital for another 700 people who are unfortunate enough to need help during the hours of darkness.

24 hour flying started in December 2013 and the Eggstravaganza will continue to support the night flying activities of the KSS Air Ambulance, including the installation of ground equipment at Marsden in Kent and at hospital sites.

More information about the Lions night flying appeal can be found on the Lions Care website, where you can also make a donation directly to the appeal and more information about the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance can be found on their website.

SURREY BORDER LIONS CLUB

Grand Wine
Tasting Challenge

(Soft drink option for non-wine drinkers)

This is a FUN challenge to see just how good your taste buds are and how well you can remember tastes and smells; it is NOT a test of how well you know your wines (or your soft drinks even!)

The events are run by Rob Evison who used to be a professional winemaker. Six samples of wine are tasted with the labels visible followed by three samples tasted “blind”. The winner is the person who identifies most of the blind samples correctly.

The victorious champion is awarded an appropriate prize to recognise their outstanding achievement.

Cheese and nibbles are served afterwards.
