Buddhist Temple Screening
Thanks to 9 volunteers ( Donna Cutler,Cathy Downey,Theresia Forgey,Bob Knipes,Lisa Shaffer,Leo Downey,Al Van Gordon, Dr. Doris, Pete and Jim Cassidy)
we screened 155 people and referred 36 to sightfirst at the health fair May 20th at Buddhist Temple.
Your Summerlin Corps of Volunteers at the eyeglass Cleaning on May 19, 2012. Summerlin Lions brought in 210 pairs of glasses. Summerlin Lions came out and had 9 or 16 volunteers at the eyeglass cleaning.

Thank you Lions for always being there and serving the community and helping the cause of Lionism. We share the common good of all Lions Clubs. Lions Grant, Karin, Darren, Lisa, Michael (future Lion), Your Pal Al, Cathy, Leo & Amanda.

Helldorado Parade & Lions
The Lions were well represented at the parade.
There were 4 different clubs with although Summerlin and Philippine American clubs had the largest number of participants.
Breakfasters and our good friends Bill & Judy Depew from Mesquite.

Flag Program at Rose Warren Elementary School
The Flag Program at Rose Warren Elementary School went very well the children were really into the flag program.
A special thank you to the Lions that participated in the program Mike Grubler, Ardis, Tom Talbot and Your Pal Al.
Mr. Brian Hoffman aka Red Skelton was magnificent.
I received alot of comments from the staff and children regarding the program.
We provided flags and Toys 4 Smiles cars to all 130 children.

Our members, both men and women, come from diverse cultural backgrounds and are either actively or formerly employed in the fields of education, medicine, banking, insurance, real estate, construction, and other areas. We come together in friendship to serve the community.

We're currently meeting on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. You are welcome to attend our meetings and consider joining us as active participants.
Our Annual Chinese New Year Charity Dinner Dance has successfully introduced the community to the Lions Organization, has help raise the needed funds to serve the local and global communities; and has provided our members and Lions throughout Nevada and other states a time to bond together and have fun!
