Bendigo Wax Flower

Strathfieldsaye is a rural and now densely populated suburb on the eastern side of the City of Greater Bendigo. It is situated on the main thoroughfare to Lake Eppalock, a dam on the Campaspe River.

This dam, about two hours north of Melbourne supplies town water, and many camps and sporting facilities dot its shores. The Kimbolten state eucalypt forest surrounding Eppalock contains the Native wax flower pictured above.

The City of Greater Bendigo is home to five Lions and one Lioness Club. Population is around 100,000 people. Our club has served the Bendigo Community since 1976.
