Members weeding Exercise Stations at McCormick Park

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.

The St. Helens Lions Club was chartered on October 10, 1955, and has been serving the St. Helens community and other parts of south Columbia County since that date. We currently have 27 members including 9 couples. One of our members has 50 years continuous membership and active participation in our Club.

Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs are best known for fighting blindness. Helen Kellar challenged us to be the Knights of the Blind and that commitment has been at the center of our local, statewide and international service ever since.

Our motto is “WE SERVE”, and the St. Helens Lions take that charge seriously. In addition to providing vision and hearing checks, exams, and equipment in our community, as well as supporting the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation and our International Foundation, we engage in many local projects that support our youth and the community as a whole.

We also believe in the value of fellowship and fun. If you are service-minded and looking for a means of getting involved in the St. Helens community, we would welcome you to join us at a future meeting.     Follow us on Facebook. Click Here

Interested in being a Lion? Are you a Veteran?     The St. Helens Lions Club will pay the membership initiation fee for Veterans. Join us at a meeting (1st or 3rd Mondays, Village Inn, St. Helens) to check out our Club.
