Who are the Lions

Lions are ordinary people just like you and me – doing amazing things by volunteering their time and energy.

Stevenage Corey's Mill Lions Clubs, serves the communities in the North of Stevenage. We support local causes, but because we are part of a worldwide organisation, when disaster happens anywhere in the world all Lions respond to that too.

The club support MacMillan Nurses, Marie Curie, Garden House, Lister Children's Ward, The Haven and many other deserving causes. We arrange local events such as Bingo evenings for the elderly in sheltered accommodation, entertainment for children, Fish & Chip suppers etc., that’s just a few of our many activities.

You may ask "how's all this paid for?"

. . . . this is achieved through our Fund Raising activities, such as Stalls at various local events, car boot sales, Christmas collections at local shops and many, many others. All monies raised at these events, Yes 100% go into our Charity Account to enable us to carry on our good works.

Club Administration costs are paid for by a nominal yearly membership fee.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
