LIONS MOTTO "WE SERVE"

WE ARE THE STAPLES HOST LIONS CLUB...WHY DON'T YOU COME AND JOIN US?

  • Meets on the 3rd Monday of each month, July through June
  • Meets from 6:30 p.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m. and consists of a meal, program, and club business. Social begins at 5:30 p.m.
  • Meets at the Host Lions' Building at 402 Wisconsin Ave., Staples, MN

 

WE IDENTIFY NEEDS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS AROUND THE WORLD, AND THEN WORK TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS THROUGH HANDS-ON SERVICE PROJECTS.

SOME OF THE PROJECTS ARE THE FOLLOWING: Christmas wreath sale; White Cane Days; park clean up; ditch clean up; and, collect/recycle used eye glasses and hearing aids; Music in the Park; and,  Pine Grove Park Christmas Lights.

 

ALL FUNDS RAISED FROM PROJECTS ARE DONATED BACK TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, MINNESOTA LIONS PROGRAMS, OR TO INTERNATIONAL NEEDS

LOCALLY:  Staples Motley Schools for scholarships, summer recreation, grad blast, KidSight Screening, and playground equipment; City of Staples; Staples Food Shelf; Central Lakes College; Staples Veterans' Park; Chamber of Commerce; Music in the Park; Pine Grove Park Christmas Lights; Community Dinner and, others.

TO MINNESOTA LIONS PROGRAMS::  MN Lions Diabetes Foundation; MN Lions Hearing Foundation; MN Lions Vision Foundation; KidSight Screening; Childhood Cancer; Project New Hope; Can Do Canines; and, Leader Dogs for the Blind.

TO INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS:: Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), which provides funds worldwide for national disasters and grants for special needs communities.

 

OUR CLUB HAS BEEN DOING COMMUNITY SERVICE SINCE DECEMBER, 1938. THE MEMBERS STRIVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND ARE BANDED TOGETHER WITH OTHER LIONS UNDER THE BANNER OF LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL.

THE MEMBERS OF STAPLES HOST LIONS HAVE A LOT OF FUN WORKING TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE IN WHICH TO LIVE
