The Crafts Bazaar was held on November 12th at the Community Building. We appreciate all the Lions that helped set up and sell brooms and pecans. We sent letters of appreciation to all our vendors. We hope that they had a good day.
We have not heard how much money the Club earned selling the Belk's Charity Sale tickets. Should know soon. The club has pecans and black walnuts to sell. Get some and try to sell them to help our club. Call Carolyn Caldwell.
Our club was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Jim Forrester. A memorial gift will be sent to Camp Dogwood.
DON'T FORGETL Christmas meeting is on December 6th. We will have a special guest bringing some music to us!
The Stanley Singing Christmas Tree will present their concert at Christ's Lutheran Church at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 3rd. Another concert will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 3:00pm.
DID YOU KNOW??? That the town of McAdenville (Christmas Town) was first decorated by the McAdenville Men's Club in 1956. Today more than 300,000 lights decorate the trees, and lake area. homes are decorated, a yule log parade is held, and a bell tower chimes carols for visitors in the town. About a quarter million vehicles tour the town each December to see the decorations.
