Signature Project - The LIONS CLUB OF ST. ANDREW’S DENTAL CLINIC

Among all the work that the Lions Club of St. Andrew  has been involved in since its charter, the Dental Clinic, now the ‘signature project’ is arguably its most successful project for which it has received recognition at the Zone, Region and District levels.  Since the Dental Clinic’s inception the project holds pre-eminence as the single largest, ongoing project for the Lions Club of St. Andrew. 

For the last 26 years the Clinic  has served over 65,000 clients who would have otherwise not had access to affordable dental services.  The clinic was recently refurbished through a grant from LCIF and today the facility continues to offer excellent  service to the communities  in and around  the Portmore communities.  The Clinic currently employs two dentists on a part-time basis. Other staff members include a certified dental assistant, an administrator and a receptionist who each work full time. The Dental Clinic operates five (5) days each week and offers the following services:  Extractions ,Cleaning, Minor Gum Surgery, Filling , Capping, Crowns, Bridging, Reconstruction Surgery,Dentures , Dental Reports, Surgical Extraction, Dressing, Abscess Draining  and Xrays.
