Beats Working are a four‐piece band based in

Spalding Lincolnshire.

Formed in 2014 they play mostly melodic material from the 60's and 70's with a few numbers from the 80's.

Featuring tight vocal harmonies Beats Working play

and perform songs by

The Beatles, The Hollies, The Eagles, James Taylor and Carol King plus a host of other popular artists.

Members of the band have performed at the

London Palladium, The Cavern in Liverpool and at charity events attended by Royalty.

They have also acted as backing musicians for a

host of famous rock stars including

Alvin Stardust, Eddie Floyd (from The Blues Brothers film),

Mike Pender (The Searchers), Wayne Fontana

and The Merseys.

The list of artistes they have supported over the years reads from

Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and Cream downwards.

Like other mature musicians they now offer a more melodic,

easy listening program.

Harmonia African Drummers (based in Huntingdon and Coton).   These community drum groups are open to age 8 to adult. The Huntingdon group has been going for around 7 years and this year a second branch started at Coton, near Cambridge. The sessions are led by Kirsty Body B.Ed., a music teacher of nearly twenty years experience. As well as the drum groups, she also runs 3 choirs (adult and children), teaches classroom music and woodwind, and leads workshops including singing, samba and ocarina.

CHICKEN WIRED

The home of the wire sculpture art of William Ashley-Norman. The artist has worked with wire for many years and as well as creating bespoke sculptures of his own, as can be seen in the gallery, ChickenWired has been created to bring the craft of sculpting with chicken wire to everyone.

Thousands of children throughout the country have taken part in school workshops, creating sculptures from templates that the artist has created. The school workshop gallery shows examples of work that can be done and examples of work by pupils from year 3 and above.

As a natural progression to the craft, a sculpture kit has been launched so that the art of ChickenWired can be enjoyed at home by all.
