Toys 4 Tots

The mission of Toys for Tots is to ensure that children living in our community will receive a gift on Christmas Day. We have a partnership with the Salvation Army. This is a unique and successful initiative as we are the only organization that provides Toys for Tots for our direct community. The rest of the county is covered by the Christmas for Kids program. The age of children receiving gifts ranges from infant to 16 years. Donation boxes are placed in local businesses where community members can purchase new toys to place in the boxes to help offset the rising costs of completing this project. When possible, toys are purchased through local suppliers. Toys are selected to be age appropriate, durable, have lasting play value, and require minimum parental input (e.g., batteries, assembly, accessories, etc.)

Event Catering

We recently catered a wedding with a complete turkey dinner meal. This was our first time ever catering and we received many compliments. This is something we hope to continue to do with the help of our Leo Club.

Cemetary Pillar Restoration

The original Lions Club had placed two pillars at the Monument Hill Cemetary entrence and two pillars at the exit as a service project in the 90's. Since then the pillars had started to show their age as they were beginning to wear down and were in need of repair. Our Lions had the pillars refurbrished, cemented and painted them white restoring them to their original state.

Springhill Lions Park

Our beloved park has been in the process of much needed upgrades and renovations for several years now. Our club has been actively involved with this process by purhcasing a brick for the new dug outs and baseball diamonds for the bases.

Food Drives

Throughout each year we hold food drives where Lions and Leos are split up into teams to cover all the streets in our community. All of the food is dropped off at The Salvation Army where our local food bank resides.
