           PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE           

Fellow Springfield Lions

It is an honor to serve as your President for the 2025/26 year. As many of you know, this is our 100th year serving the community of Springfield; an achievement of which we should all be very proud.

In November, there will be a formal celebration of our "milestone birthday" but that evening is just one of the events we look forward to in the coming year. Whether its a day of volunteerig at the eyeglass recycling center, providing scholarships for deserving Springfield students, recognizing Eagle/Gold Scouts or a new Springfield business or simply enjoying a meal and some great conversation, we will continue to grow as Lions and help those in need in our community.

We have had tremendous success bringing in new members over the past 12 months and my hope is that will continue in the current year. Our annual wine tasting and golf tournament have proven to be great occasions for both fund-raising and growing the presence of the Club in our community. This, in turn, helps drive membership and the strength of the Club. Let's aim to replicate the success of those events in the future.

My thanks to our outgoing President Lion Hugh, and to all the Officers, Tamers and Twisters of the Club. I'm thrilled to have many of you back on the team for the coming year and will, no doubt, be leaning on you for your advice and support.
