Come and Join Us

We need your help to support community initiatives including the Southwell Flood Forum,Tonya’s Challenge, The Southwell Folk and Music Festivals, Farnstock and the MacMillan Big Coffee Morning.

We hold community events such as the Chernobyl Children’s Parties, Senior Citizen Xmas Parties, Carols For Everyone, and supply and tend to the planters at the entrances to Southwell.

We help with international relief projects, sending water purification jerrycans to The Phillippines and raising funds for classrooms in the Himalayas and Ebola orphans.

We also run our own fund raising events including the annual Burns Night/Race Night, our popular Family Quiz, and of course our Christmas Concert and Santa Float. We help people of all ages, with funding for anti-drug and alcohol (DARE) projects at schools and smaller grants to help the elderly and scouts.

We are proud of what we achieve and our reward is the fun, friendship and the satisfaction we get from what we do.

More Lions would allow us to do more things for the community, help more good people raise money for their chosen causes and make a difference to more people’s lives.
So come and join us and help make a difference in our community.

As Lions, we meet the needs of those in our own communities as well as around the world, and we have fun doing it.

To find out more, have a look at our website and contact us, and come along to a few of our friendly meetings or events to find out what we do. There is no obligation.
