Acknowledgement of Emergency Humanitarian Support to `HUNGER victims in Teso

On behalf of the Management, Board and members of Lions Club of Soroti and on my own behalf,

 we thank you for your generous support and positive response towards the HUNGER situation in Teso as evidenced by the donation of the following Items:- 30 TONES of Maize flour (POSHO) and Beans. More than 6,000 people were able to benefit from the consignment.               

Your gift of relief items to the affected population in Teso has been of great help in reaching International Club goal in the year 2009/2010 with humanitarian effort.

Lions Aid Norway, as a successful humanitarian service organization has set an example for others to follow in response to the current situation.

Each year, we answer the call to serve. Whenever there is need, at home or around the world, Lion members are there to help. Through annual events, Lions Aid Norway made a lasting difference in our community.

In line with our motto ‘We Serve’, Lions Club of Soroti remains committed to serve the poor communities in need. Lions Aid Norway, thank you for your very active participation, generosity and playing a part in the success towards the communities affected by the Hunger.

In my personal observation, generally Lions Aid Norway did a wonderful job. Great thanks to the management and staff of Lions Aid Norway[ LAN], not forgetting Lion David Mutayisa and Lion Noah Poya for the necessary co-ordination.

On behalf of the beneficiary communities in the HUNGER most affected areas (ALITO PARISH) in AMURIA District, Lions Club of Soroti acknowledges this timely humanitarian contribution which has already been distributed.

Finally the problem is not yet sorted out, we appeal for more relief items. E.g. Agricultural Tools and Seeds support.
