The Sidney Lions Club was sponsored by the Victoria Chinatown Lions and was chartered on June 27, 1964

Since 1964 the Sidney Lions Club has offered people like you the opportunity to give something back to their communities.  From involving members in local Lions projects to bringing sight to the world's blind and sound to the hearing impaired.  Lions clubs have always welcomed those committed to building a brighter future for their community.

Our work for those in need in our own communities, across the country and around the world depends on the involvment of a new generation of Lions.

More than ever our seniors, our youth, people with vision and hearing problems and other disadvantages need our help.

By participating in the Sidney Lions Club, you can help meet the needs in your own community.

Our main fundraising project is a mobile kitchen that we take to Sidney Days, Brentwood Bay Days, Saanich Agricultural Fair, Halloween event at Iroquois Park, etc.

The Sidney Lions Club is actively involved in the RCMP Bike Roadeo, Eyesight program, Annual Christmas Hamper Drive, Christmas Tree Shredding, Sidney Lions Food Bank, Playground equipment at Tulista Park, and others.

We contribute to Mount Newton Centre, Sidney & District White Cane Club, Shawnigan Lake Lions Easter Seal Camp for the disabled, Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Sidney Boy Scouts, Sidney Elementary School, and others.

Our newest project is the "Renovation of the Playground Equipment at Tulista Park".  Some of the equipment has been around for a while and needs to be replaced.  This is a $70,000 project and to help pay for it we are building a "Memorial Wall" of bricks.  The bricks will be sold to Business's and the Public for $100, $250, and $1,000 depending on the size of the bricks.  See our photo gallery for a view of the proposed equipment.
