  • Wow!  District Governor Richard Gessling was here,

  • accompanied by the effervescent Zone 1 Chair Judy Lehman (also a Seeley lake expatriot) to speak at our July 23, 2015 General Meeting.  We were treated to sage advice from both of these guests and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them.  It was a great meeting for those of you able to attend!!!  The future for our new District 37 (state of Montana) looks very promising.  More photos HERE

  • First District 37 Convention to be held in Helena October 9 and 10.  Registration form now available HERE.

  • Firewood Raffle Tickets Sales   Huge Success!  During our Annual Firewood Raffle fundraiser project centered on the 4th of July we sold about $2,600 worth of tickets for a dump truck load of firewood (about 4 cords).  Michael Berry of Bozeman won the drawing and opted to receive $200 in cash in lieu of the firewood.  The firewood was donated, per Board directive, to Lion Sean Dalrymple, who is recovering from an accident.  Great work and many thanks to all the Lions who helped make this year's firewood drive a success.  Awesome!  See dump truck loading photos HERE.

  • Scholarship & Merit Awards -  On June 4, 2015, our Lions Club was proud to present awards to Seeley Swan High School students as follows:  [1] John A. Bell Family Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 to Julie Anne Morgan.  [2] Seeley Lake Lions Club Scholarship of $1,000 to Cole Jungers.  [3] Seeley Lake Lions Club Merit Award of $250 to Jonathan Dodd.  [4] Seeley Lake Lions Club Merit Award of $250 to Shy Murphy.  Lion Cheryl Lewis made the presentations.  Congratulations to all students of the class of 2015!!!  Several Lions were able to attend the award ceremony as pictured.  Sadly, student Julie Anne Morgan was unable to attend.  View photos.

Seeley Lake Lions Club

Seeley Lake Lions Club was founded on February 3, 1979 (see Charter Night Program).  The original group met fall through spring.  An early project included a boat dock at Big Larch Campground on the east side of Seeley Lake.  Please see our Club Projects page for more about our many club projects, fundraisers, and contributions.

As you can see, we are a busy club, men and women ~ making a difference wherever we are. We hope if you are a Lion and travelling through our little neck of the woods, that you will stop in at one of our meetings. We always love seeing other Lions and finding out what YOU are doing in YOUR club!
