Trubute to a Lion Champion:

A heartfelt and loving farewell to our pal, Lion CD Madsen who passed February 12, 2020 just before his 102nd birthday. CD taught his clan how to love being a Lion, how to love people, and how to get positive results, and how to best remember those who paid theb ultimate sacrifice that affords our lifestyle in these United States of America. CD will never be forgotten.

Sausalito Lion C.D. Madsen introduced the 100th PGA Tournament in 2018 on CBS. To view C.D.'s television debut CLICK HERE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neIi67HQXl4).

C.D. enjoyed his first Hole-In-One at age 99 at the Marin country Club where an inscribed large rock commemmorates his tee-off. He most recently was featured in the 2019 Sausalito 4th of July Parade, being chauffeured in a classic 1929 Ford Model A. On each side of the car was a prominent red, white, and blue sign that read as follows:

C. D. Madsen -101 Years Young - Sausalito Lions 70 years - "If we all get better with age, then I'n darn-near perfect!".

The Sausalito Lions Club lost its oldest member in February 2020. As an active member for over 70 years, CD Madsen was the heart of the Lions Club with an always positive attitude, a firm handshake, and volunteer spirit. Vaya Con Dios to our Pal, Lion C.D. Madsen who illustrated in life what Lionism is truly all about.
