San Tan Valley Relay For Life 2015

On April 10, 2015, our club and our LEOs participated in the San Tan Valley Relay for Life event at Poston Butte High School. The club served the evening meal to honor the over 50 cancer survivers participating in the relay. The club assisted our LEOs with selling laces for participants to record the  laps completed by placing colored beads on the laces to indicate laps completed. These laces were extremely popular and demand outpaced our supply of them. Over 50 laces were sold within the first hour of the event. LEOs and Lions participated in the relay, walking many miles. Fun was had by all Lions and LEOs.

Results of our participation:

  • Raised $ 627.50 for the Cancer Society

  • Over 50 Meals Served

  • 8 Lions Participated

  • 10 LEOs Participated
